You've always wanted to spin - right? Now's your chance. The Schacht Company produces handmade, one at a time, spinning wheels. Elegant, well-made, heirloom quality wheels that are based on classic methods but made with modern life in mind. We carry three wheels, sometimes four. The standard wheels are the Schacht Double Treadle, the Ladybug, the Sidekick and the special edition Schacht Maple Double Treadle, which we order every year and run out of almost immediately!
Ladybugs are made by hand, and are currently selling more quickly then we can have them made.
The Ladybug Spinning Wheel is friendly to entry-level spinners, easy to treadle, easy to take with you, and& as cute as a bug! The Ladybug has the characteristic solid Schacht construction and its unique design is both functional and charming. Designed-in carrying handles in the legs and light weight make the Ladybug easy to pick up and transport. An optional attached tensioned Lazy Kate integrates into the front leg and makes it easy to take along, too!
The Ladybug Spinning Wheel uses Scotch tension, and can also be used in double drive mode. The Ladybug comes with medium and fast flyer whorls; the slow and high speed whorls can also be used for a wide range of ratios.
Included with each Schacht Ladybug Spinning Wheel are a poly drive band, threading hook, three bobbins, medium and fast whorls, and double drive band. Each Ladybug Spinning Wheel is unique - somewhere on your wheel is your very own Ladybug pal.

Returns Policy
RETURNS Returns are easy! Please use our RETURNS link at the bottom of any page to generate a label and get your return back to us! Please note that returns must be sent using the returns portal or we cannot guarantee credit. Please allow 30 days for your return to be processed. Problems or questions? Jump on chat or email us. MORE ABOUT RETURNS Returns over 30 Days will be issued Store Credit. Return Shipping charges will be deducted from your return/credit. Returns will be charged a 5% restock fee. Special orders and wound yarns are not returnable. Please note: we allow a maximum of 3 returns per year. We do not cover the cost of return labels, we're happy to provide them via our portal, but the cost will be deducted from your refund We do not cover international return shipping.
