Malabrigo - KAL Kit - Alpine Shawl (Make Your Own!)
The Alpine Shawl, designed by Jill Tamminen from Knit Sisu, is a classic Knit Sisu Technique Shawl - it plays with both color and texture in classic stitches and fibers, all while keeping a modern asymmetrical shawl structure and shape.
The Alpine Shawl introduces techniques and repeats that can be used at any time throughout the piece, giving knitters the freedom to focus on the art in their hands, and make their piece uniquely their own. The inspiration for the Alpine Shawl comes from the little "peaks" made by the main stitch technique. Jill has a love of nature, specifically mountain regions. The combination of Malabrigo Arroyo colors, with the accent of the Blue Sky Fibers Prairie yarn create a landscape of visual interest, texture, and a touch of whimsy. The stitch techniques used are not advanced, but create a wonderfully engaging knit for knitters across all ranges of skills and experiences. As the color combinations and choice of repeats are endless, this captivating and comforting piece will be one you'll want to knit over and over!
